Wastewater System Improvements

About the Project

We are currently underway on a major project to replace pipelines and improve seven of our eight wastewater lift stations, which move wastewater through our system to treatment. This long-overdue project will make our wastewater system much more reliable and involves upgrades across our service area.

Construction began in November 2026. Full completion is planned for the middle of 2027.

The first part of the project (2025-2026) includes:

  • Installing a new wastewater line between two of the stations along Hidden Pointe Blvd.
  • Removing one lift station in the open space southwest of Monarch Blvd, and Hidden Pointe Blvd.
  • Upgrading our lift station north of Hidden Pointe Blvd and Serena Drive.
  • Replacing our lift station in the Hidden Pointe neighborhood, behind 343 and 355 Crossing Circle.

Construction Impacts - What to Expect

The District is committed to proactive, transparent communication about impacts, detours, noise, and construction schedules.  Construction impacts may include noise, equipment staging, increased truck traffic, and temporary closures.  The District will work to minimize construction impacts as much as possible, providing traffic control, maintaining property access, keeping trails open whenever possible, and coordinating in advance with local schools, neighbors and businesses.

Local Traffic and Trail Impacts:

In the winter of 2025/2026, we are installing a new wastewater line between two of the stations along Hidden Pointe Blvd. Initial work info:

Map showing a "Road Closed" area on Serena Drive in red from Arco Iris Ln in the North to Hidden Pointe Blvd. in the south, and lane closures on Hidden Pointe shown in yellow on both sides of where the road meets Serena. A trail detour is marked to show that the open space trail will remain open with a different pathway available.
  • Closures: temporary, one-lane closures on a portion of Hidden Pointe Blvd., and a temporary closure of Serena Dr. where it intersects Hidden Pointe.
  • Timing: construction/traffic impacts planned for around 8 weeks (weather depending - we may have to delay paving if it snows. if that happens, we will patch and reopen the roads in the meantime).
  • North Open Space Trail System along Serena will remain open with a detour in place.

Impacts in Nearby Neighborhoods: Our team will reach out to any impacted neighborhoods in advance of construction, including homes near the lift station north of Hidden Pointe and in the Hidden Pointe neighborhood. We will post updates here as well. The District appreciates your patience as we work on these necessary upgrades and will work to minimize disruption however possible. All the stations and pipelines should be finished by the end of 2027, prepared to serve our community for decades to come.
