Monarch Waterline Replacement – Second Part of the Project

About the Project

This project involes replacement of a major 10-inch water transmission main under Monarch Parkway. The existing line is old, undersized and not easy to access for repairs. The new 16-inch pipe will be larger and located in the middle of the parkway road for easier access.

  • Previous Work: The first 5,900 feet of waterline replacement is finished (Castle Pines Parkway to Berganot Trail).
  • Work in 2025: The remaining 1,700 feet of the pipeline project began June 2025 and the District's work was finished in early fall (from Berganot Trail north to Buffalo Trail). The City of Castle Pines is continuing and finishing their own construction up to Winter Berry Drive.
  • Completion: Completion of both portions of the project (District and City construction) will be finished in late November 2025. The pipeline work is already completed.

Traffic Impacts

The District worked with the City of Castle Pines to reroute traffic and handle any construction-related concerns.
